CAN YOU USE IT IN A SENTENCE?
WHY: As an individual who works within media strategy and is a lover of the art of marketing and advertising, I have come to appreciate the importance of context and how context can be the difference between a strong, memorable ad and a weak, trivial one.
THE PROCESS: As I thumbed through a design book of popular advertising slogans and taglines, I began to juxtapose some of the world's most memorable advertising slogans and taglines with an iconic, beautiful, and powerful image: a fetus. I knew it was a silly idea for a personal project, but I realized this would be a beautiful, harrowing way to illustrate the idea that context is everything.
THE RESULTS: The resulting juxtapositions range from fun, sexual innuendo to PSA-level social commentary that really hits home for many (myself included) - enjoy!
